Agreed re direct democracy, but what about indirect democracy where some number of paid developers are elected and paid a salary during their term?

Erm space shuttle not a good choice, it was a chronic failure, it leans heavily towards the 'mob' side of this arguement. Shuttle program is a perfect example of how to mismanage, not listen to engineers, go backwards in space exploration and kill people in the process
