Speculating on ICOs, shitcoins & airdrops- which is what most people do- is not the right way to reach legitimacy. It can massively backfire as the “value” from these evaporate, cause systematic risks, and invite stricter regulations.

That would put a dent on the argument that crypto as a whole is legit & stop the “virus” in its track. In other words, ICOs/shitcoins/airdrops are the *wrong type of virus*. They should be curtailed, not spread.

I would consider a “patient-zero crypto country” the 1st country whose citizens truly believe in cryptocurrencies & whose government enacts laws to facilitate their usage.

“Belief” meaning that people are willing to HODL, not trade (SoV). And later use cryptocurrencies natively in commerce (MoE).
