It never was neutral. People always made political decisions that impacted others, & continue to do so. True of all blockchains.

yea.... you can prove it's been tampered with. A lot of good that does.

Exactly. The point is not that they can never be changed ('immutable') but rather that it's hard to do so and that if this happens it is unlikely to go unnoticed ('tamper-proof').

Tamper evident captures one aspect. The other material aspect is that these systems use financial incentives to secure data. So maybe try: "financially secured" data or, to describe the feature, "financially infeasible record malleability" (FIRM is a good acronym)
