No, because their value prop was never decentralization, it was they're better than BTC because they have a leader that can streamline development.

Nope that has never been the value prop. Having a leader can be both good and bad. Charlie does have more influence aka “soft power” in the Litecoin community than any single individual in Bitcoin, but that doesn’t mean he can change things as he pleases.

Litecoin changes still have to be approved by the users, devs and miners, just like in Bitcoin. Charlie cannot unilaterally change the protocol.
