Diet seems to me like one of those areas where we have so many knowledge gaps. To claim anything in absolutes with 100% certainty is just crazy. And yeah, diet evolves too. It’s not fixed. “Good” is all relative.

do you think there are any resource/productivity concerns?

I'm not on board with the carnivore culture in bitcoin. Fundamentally I have no objection to humans eating meat, but current conditions for animals are cruel and disgusting. Furthermore, any claim that carnivory is somehow the most healthy way to eat is specious and unfounded.
-
I find it bizarre. There is a lot of dogma, even coming from the people I respect the most in Bitcoin. It *is possible* that carnivory is a healthier diet. So could veganism, or fruitarianism, or only eating eggs. All extraordinary claims require evidence.
-
The only empirical evidence I have is mine. Two years ago I replaced all animal protein supplements with vegan, then tried to put on as much mass at the gym as I could. In 6 months got stronger than at any point in my life. That settled it for me. I eat almost no meat now.

Nutrition is notoriously pseudo-scientific. Simply because it is hard to make real tests that stand up to scrutiny. So all we have left is anecdotal accounts from people who have tried it. These are then happily cherry picked to support our biases for diet X or Y
