@TheBlueMatt's brilliant proposal that separates 1/ block construction process from 2/ payout process. You'll still get the benefit of connecting to a pool (stable payouts) while not conceding the right to propose a block. Best of both worlds solution that will help d14n.

Agree what do you think is the best adoption strategy?

IMO: 1/ BetterHash pools created 2/ Demonstrates that payouts are the same or better than Stratum pools Then adoption should be a no-brainer. The improved security & ability to select ur own txs should serve as strong incentives to switch. Disclaimer: I'm not a miner.

What motivates pools to adopt BetterHash?

I don't know how exactly pools operate, but I would think they want to cater to miners' demand
If enough miners want BetterHash, pools would be motivated to change.
Even if they don't change, new pools can always be created. Market competition could take care of the rest.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

I think #1 the benefits need to be crystalized into language that resonates with miners #2 miners need to demand it #3 a savvy pool or upstart pool will support it to acquire customers
