I raised this with some experts in late summer and never got a coherent response. Why would a pathogen "wait" two weeks after spiking in Italy or Spain to spike in UK? Some said we have always been 2-3 weeks behind Italy, but that makes no sense in the lifespan of a virus.

The government and SAGE are telling more lies again it’s so predictable from them now im taking zero notice of it now it’s all a low of rubbish , 50% vaccinated here and deaths and hospital admissions only metrics to matter falling . Time for earlier easing of things now
