    Not sure which is worse. Watching a country in which I have worked, have friends, family & colleagues embrace right wing ideology and an act of self harm so willingly or having to accept was right about them all along.

    As a member of one of the most persecuted ethnic groups at the hands of British imperialists, I find the continued mispronuniation of Irish names such as Docherty, Gallagher, Keogh (the list goes on) little more than a mild irritant. Are people looking to be offended?

    I don’t think this. I said “Every Jew noticed it”. True: as evinced by responses from other Jews. I think it was a subconscious thing and meaning is up for discussion. But as one who DM’d last night said; it’s a thing that feels visceral to Jews but oblique to the outside world.
