    Shutdown ends when one side decides they’re in a political no-win and prefer a quick death w/ chance for recovery to slow death w/ no recovery; or when both sides mutually decide to reach a win-win deal. At least that’s how shutdowns usually end.

  12. The promise re payment is beside the point though. “took the mantle” and shut down government. Then he offered a compromise which Minority Ldr / rejected. So shutdown —right now— is on Ds who oppose border security that Americans want.

  13. So am I. promise about Mexico paying is more easily defended via his exotic logic that deal will do it than President ’s “if you like your plan you can keep it” promise, as 45 might still pull it off but 44 never can keep his word.

    Absolutely no recession signals in this jobs report. It may be some snap back from previous months' weather distortions. But it's very solid. Only concern about it is what the Fed does now.
