No scoop! It was obvious that there would more fatalities. The study was ended before the pandemic was over. More people was still in the pipeline, so to say. It takes only a minimum of insight to understand that. This is how publishing in a scientific journal normally works.

The crucial point is that the extra fatalities were already infected when the study was performed, but the author wanted a low IFR and thus requested StOP ThE CoUNt!!!
