Per local redditors who found his Facebook, perp and his wife were both USAF. Him sergeant, her airman airman 1st class. The wife was found dead in a hotel room in 2018. No details yet on the story there. FWIW, the only politics stuff reported on his FB was libertarian.pic.twitter.com/X6cVAagmf2

Not least the SLV's local reputation as the crazy/dangerous/methy part of the county. Also the LAST sherrif's deputy killed in the county died there, in '83. And it's a small part of the county.
