for example, Richard Spencer is not dangerous, but if he is appearing somewhere and gets (say) the group Patriot Front to "provide security," there is a nonzero chance that one of them will do something impulsive, stupid, dangerous, illegal, & potentially harmful (as they have)

Atomwaffen is dangerous and murdery as hell, but even there note that their carnage is pretty much confined to their immediate vicinity. They're into an insanely violent ideology, but there are few of them and they lack infrastructure.

Hard Lefties, give them full credit, have done a FANTASTIC job of instilling discipline and learning from past mistakes of the '70s. But they're well networked, numerous, and have infrastructure, so if they chucked that it could go bad really fast.

Just as an example: Linda Sarsour, of Women's March fame, has sat on a panel at CUNY with Sekou Odinga (of Black Liberation Army fame) and phone-in Oscar Lopez Rivera (ringleader of Puerto Rican separatist bombing group FALN, which murdered five).

If Sarsour or somebody like her were to decide to emulate bombers, rather than merely admire them, she has a lot of radical friends and a Rolodex that's got at least half a million people in it, probably complete with data on what kind of stuff they like on Facebook
