We evaluated #GPT4 on Harvard's CS171 Data Visualization course and found it scored 80% w/o specialized prompts/interactions. We aim to ignite thoughts on a) #LLMs potential beyond VIS code generation, b) redesigning #dataviz education in the LLM era

After a long time offline, we have revived the web-based version of the Jigsaw system for text document analysis. This version contains many of the key capabilities of the original Jigsaw system, but it runs through a web browser.

In recent work trained Othello-GPT to predict the next move in random legal games of Othello & found an emergent model of the board! Surprisingly, only non-linear probes worked. I found a linear model of which squares have the PLAYER'S colour!

Today I asked ChatGPT to solve almost every exercise in Think Python and DSIRP.
It did.
My conclusion: everyone who writes code should spend the next month doing professional development on writing code with LLM-assist.
This is how code will be written from now on.

GPT is a new kind of computer architecture that runs on text. Yes it can talk to us, but also to much of our existing software infrastructure. First via apps on top of APIs, now inside ChatGPT via plugins.
What a time right now...
