I'd guess it's the totality of all intent by the user from when they first encounter, as they change, and is changed by the system you made.

Sometimes I see clearly how to solve the problem, that I could rearchitect it, but I neither have the bandwidth nor authority to order a sweeping change, and because people don’t see or understand it, it gets worse, like a house without Marie Kondo.

What’s a good way to showcase this skill in your portfolio if it’s one of your strengths? I feel like it’s somewhat limited to ia charts and wireframe flows

I’ve done it through a case study as a way to tell the story of what the system has to do, how it responds. Then I show the flows to reveal complexity.
