Hello Brains! What’s the strangest thing you do to help your brain get things done? (Might share on a podcast today, no names just examples) Mine: when I reaaally don’t wanna get up, I start by wiggling my toes, then feet, then legs, etc. while singing about it 🤪wiggle da feeet

Ultimately, it was this video (Failing at Normal: An ADHD Success Story) by Jessica McCabe () which, with no exaggeration, changed my life. My wife (Jennifer) was watching it, and then showed it to me. /7

before meds, my apartment was a disaster! Every single surface was packed with papers and other unneeded junk. On meds, it turns out I hate clutter. Maybe I've hated clutter all these years, but my brain just never was able to sort out the mess.

I was ‘technically’ SWITCHED ON’ & ‘UPLOADED’ 7 years ago! if I don’t, I haven’t got a clue what I’m doing. Too much noise. I can’t make sense of ANYTHING! But... I’m all turned on everyday now! 💊daily.

Mental illness can make it hard for people to maintain their hygiene. You should be proud of yourself for brushing your teeth, showering, or changing clothes when you didn’t want to but still did. Even if you didn’t do any of these things, you should be proud for surviving.

This! Let’s end pill shaming! I want to be able to get out of bed in the morning, wash my hair, leave my house, and have an active lifestyle. Instead of sleeping 14 hours a day and walking through the other 10 in a fog.
