    For tests, I dedicate the first 5 minutes to have students hold the tests and talk to their group about strategies (w/out pencils). This lowers their test anxiety AND when you walk around, you hear some of the richest math conversations.

    I would like some input: if students are going to do revisions, how helpful is your feedback? Do you give hints in how to do it? Just circle the error and have them figure it out independently/with others? Thanks in advance.

    As people get older, it feels like we slowly stop asking them what their favorite things are (favorite dinosaur, favorite color, etc.). Trying to bring this back by writing this on the board every day so students can be more connected with the math they are doing.
