Funny thing about coal...even if you're a fossil-fuel junkie, it's still an inefficient, expensive way to generate power. It would die a quiet death, as it should, if trump would just leave it alone for 5 minutes.

I would be interested to know what pushed coal out in New York state. Do you have any info on this? To my knowledge, coal has lost its competitive advantage in the US. This would mean that a further decline is to be expected.
