Zagat has a rich history of its own - since 1979 the Zagat survey has been a place for diners to rate their experiences and help other diners discover great places, while also providing constructive feedback to restaurants.

I moved to NYC in July of 2002 and had read about Blue Smoke - maybe in Food & Wine? - right before I arrived. It was one of the first places I checked off my list and became a mainstay for me for many years. I’ll miss it. Restaurants need help. cc: @senatemajldr
