For chains at their early stage, i guess the upside of developer rebate is greater than the downside. It's a good way to market and bootstrap the dev community, i.e. make the number looks good (like number of contract deployed). Hoping this can kickstart the flywheel.

so the relevant detail y'all missed is that the team lied to conceal the backdoor. Having admin access to a protocol is normal. Lying about the extent of that access it is not
