bear republic hop rod rye. wonderful grapefruit nose. big, hoppy bitterness with a touch of pine on the back end. one of the greats. A+

samuel smith's old brewery pale ale. sweet, honey nose. mildly bitter with good malt balance and a woody aftertaste. nice overall. b+.

opa-opa ipa. no head. nose and flavor similarly flat, a little funky. like a second attempt at a home-brew ipa. drinkable, but sub-par. c+.
