New bar! Lord hobo in cambridge. Just opened. 30+taps, mostly obscure euro brews. impressive dinner menu. Good stuff

Brooklyn manhattan project. Rye beer with cherry, herbs, spices a la the eponymous cocktail. Sweet to spice taste. Unique, a big winner. A

southern tier unearthly ipa. big, slightly funky nose- orange rind. decently balanced pine-yflavor with slight hint of alcohol. solid. a-.

John harvard pilgrims porter. Very timid nose, faint coffee. Flavor is big: coffee and caramel. Persistent too. Needs more aroma. b-

John harvard single hop series: columbus ipa. Solid orange nose. Orange rind and grapefruit flavors. I like more pine but still good. b+

bear republic hop rod rye. wonderful grapefruit nose. big, hoppy bitterness with a touch of pine on the back end. one of the greats. A+

southern tier 422 pale wheat ale. great head, citrus nose. flavor is more like a belgian wit than a standard american wheat. very nice. A-

samuel smith's old brewery pale ale. sweet, honey nose. mildly bitter with good malt balance and a woody aftertaste. nice overall. b+.

opa-opa ipa. no head. nose and flavor similarly flat, a little funky. like a second attempt at a home-brew ipa. drinkable, but sub-par. c+.

lagunitas a little sumpin' sumpin' ale. pine-y nose. decent bitter flavor with a good sweet balance. this is an american wheat ale? b+

for better choc. beer, i recommend @bkynbrewery chocolate stout or @samueladams chocolate bock. both those rock my socks.

ommegang chocolate indulgence. meh. not very impressed. drinkable. slight choc nose w/ mild coffee flavor. def. not a stout as claimed. C+.

stone oaked arrogant bastard ale. pine and grapefruit on the nose, with flavor to match. unusual. this beer takes some getting used to. B.

Duck rabbit russian imperial stout. Props to them for the stout in summer. Everything one wants in an imp. stout. >Good but not great. B+.
