@hopihoekstra it's really great to see this -
@Graham_Coop No doubt due to priming by@Haldanessieve thanks to you &@joe_pickrell (BTW you should link to@biorxivpreprint on your site)! -
@hopihoekstra@joe_pickrell thanks btw we do link to@biorxivpreprint in our FAQs http://haldanessieve.org/faq/#q3 , and every post links to source

@hopihoekstra@marc_rr maybe this is due to the fact that on average evolutionary biologists publish more than "other" kind of biologists ? -
@tomroud@hopihoekstra Maybe, but my intuition is that evol biol is more quantitative, thus used to the q-biol of#ArXiv, hence the bias. -
@marc_rr@tomroud True, most evo bio papers on@biorxivpreprint are pop/comp-genomic-type papers. Need to rally the organismal biologists! -
@hopihoekstra@marc_rr@tomroud@biorxivpreprint there are some appear there e.g. I think I saw@ZombieAntGuy preprinting. -
@hopihoekstra@marc_rr@tomroud@biorxivpreprint been starting to work on some more organismal folks,but we mainly concentrated on comp. 1st -
@hopihoekstra@marc_rr@tomroud@biorxivpreprint we've avoided the straight organismal stuff@Haldanessieve to try and maintain focus. -
@Graham_Coop@hopihoekstra@marc_rr@tomroud we've been encouraging people to follow@Haldanessieve's lead in other areas: eg@IdealObsrvr -
@cshperspectives@hopihoekstra@marc_rr@tomroud@Haldanessieve@IdealObsrvr see also@WarburgsLens 4@Haldanessieve-like in cancer quant.

@hopihoekstra@biorxivpreprint so, where are all the brave#molecular biologists and#biochemists that can challenge#EvoBio's record? -
@p_gl@hopihoekstra@biorxivpreprint@JohnRInglis the quiet before the storm? ;-) -
.
@biorxivpreprint How to increase number of comments on papers?More discussion would be nice cc@JohnRInglis@cshperspectives@hopihoekstra -
@p_gl@JohnRInglis@hopihoekstra comments are relatively few. but what we don't know is dark matter of feedback by private emails -
@cshperspectives@JohnRInglis@hopihoekstra Good point.I opted for comment,and got no reply.Shame if feedbacks were to remain private though -
@p_gl@cshperspectives@hopihoekstra Direct comment (on journals etc) is generally low.Offsite comment (@PubPeer,PubMed) is rising a little. -
@biorxivpreprint are authors alerted when their manuscripts receive comments? cc@JohnRInglis -
@p_gl@biorxivpreprint Not right now but we're working towards that.
