Accidentally invented a new feature. Should the JS console/REPL in DevTools stay in strict mode (for later evaluations) if you set it once? It doesn't currently :(

I meant more like.. is it enough to close and reopen dev tools on that tab? Do you need to reload the tab? Do you need to close that tab and open a new one?
-
Refreshing the page will do it. There's no way to clear the Context/s we've created. It gets awkward if a page script closes over e.g. a let introduced by a REPL script

Direct eval within strict is strict, you would need an indirect form.

if you invented a use sloppy equiv for the repl it’d be fine; a button isn’t the same as a keyboard switch

Either way, staying in strict mode only makes sense if you have a way to back. It makes no sense to be able to go in strict mode in a "sticky" way and then not be able to get out of it.

But I suppose you'd lose all the context; at least since it turned strict
