    バテン・カイトス2から10数年経って、未だに続編の声が私個人に届き続けるのが心苦しい。もう時効だと思うので少しだけ。2の直後、ナムコ（現バンナム）には続編のプリプロまでは進んでいましたが3実現直前で先方都合でお話は無くなっています。

        実現すれば海底、陸、空を舞台に壮大な内容になる予定でした。封印された続編の大量の設定画はバンナムにあります。続編の要望は私やモノリスだけでなくバンナムさんに。

        ちなみにナムコ出資で動いてた話だから、想定してたのはps3のスペック相当の据置機。携帯機ではありません。メインキャラの設定画もほぼ揃ってました。携帯機の企画もあったけど、プリプロまでは行ってません。

        当時のナムコ、任天堂の担当関係者は退職されたり亡くなられているのでよほどの数字が見込めない限り復活は無いと思います。当初の予定だと、三作目の主人公は女の子。パ●●3世。

        自分がプレイしてきた中で間違いなくNo. 1のゲームソフトでした。続編は難しくてもあのゲームシステムを踏襲したゲームか、リメイクがやってみたい…と思うこの頃です。

        Oh god, this is the best news I've heard in years. Baten Kaitos is my favorite franchise of all time. This franchise deserves to be well known all over the world. Please Yasuyuki-san, grant us our dearest wish to have a remaster and a baten kaitos 3 on the way. <3
