Overall I have largely failed, I think, to explain my climate change (and other causes of global ecosystem collapse) solution very well. I tried last night with the below thread but it is unsatisfactory. Another attempt.

So, the way I get this, last night was the first game of the playoffs, but the TV cameras broke and nobody knows who won. Michael Bloomberg had a first round bye. Is that about right?

Democrats don't have a hair on their ass if somebody didn't bring John Bolton as their guest. Front row, Bolton makes eye contact, smiles slowly, makes the throat cutting gesture zzzzzzzzck!

    3. Drive through services at banks and restaurants will be phased out within one year. Other means will be sought to directly reduce CO2 emissions. ... Yeah, fat chance, bozo.

    2. The United States government will withdraw all direct and indirect financial support for the fossil fuel industry. All existing freight rail lines into cities over 100,000 population will be shared with short-line passenger rail. Passenger stations will be built with govt 💰

Say, just for laughs, that a Presidential candidate actually gave a real-world flying fuck about climate change. "So the first bill I introduce will be a nationwide 50 mph speed limit, radar and camera enforced. Vehicles licensed over 30,000 pounds will be limited to 40..."

Why the fuck can't you just report one goddamn fact without spinning it in some pro-Trump way? "... although it was unclear..." Why? What's your point?

I listened to 's show tonight. If you didn't know in advance you'd have never guessed they were discussing a contest to attempt to lead the government of the deadliest nation on Earth. I knew it was some kind of contest, but - to govern a country? No shit?

I never missed a SOTU from Ike through Obama except while I was in Vietnam. Heard them on the radio for years because no TV. I don't listen to this asshole.

People look at my practical system for solving climate change and they say, "He's crazy." I make this prediction: Should humankind survive, in not too many generations they will look back on today, with cars, jets, poison in the water, air, and food, and say, "They were crazy."

    12. People, these questions must be asked and answered. I don't know how to tell you this, but it's not a hypothetical. Remember when Barack Obama was inaugurated? That was longer ago than we have. Longer. Ago. Than. We. Have.

    11. Does anyone have a figure for how many acres, how many right-of-ways, the relevant authorities are going to have to acquire? His Madnesty is trying even now to obtain one narrow right-of-way from the Pacific Ocean to the Gulf of Mexico and it's not going that well.

    10. Pardon me. I'm ranting, and this is supposed to be a straight objective evaluation. OK. Site access. Virtually every square foot of the United States is private property. So far, to the best of my knowledge, renewable sites have mostly been either licensed or owned.

    9. Some circular reasoning where "Yes emissions are going up but without renewables they'd be going up faster" seems to be popular but - this is about total tons of CO2 with a drop dead number. Nothing else counts.

    8. As I said, we haven't been given a projected date when we will attain "surplus generating capacity" through renewables. Until that date we're not reducing emissions. If the number goes up, emissions rose.

    7. Does the proposed system generate more or less joules per acre than the current system? Either way, 100% of the current system has to remain in place at least until the US has surplus generating capacity.

    6. So, I don't exactly know how many jellywatts per square farm the new system will produce, but joules per acre installed plus distribution routes is going to be sizeable. How many acres of the US are occupied by the current power generation system?

    5. Assuming we build it that way - because any other system, like an all new "smart grid" - would take longer and cost more. I'm giving the proposed renewable system the best numbers available. So - "On grid" means, I guess, within a hundred miles of a major backbone. 200. ?

    4. That means the renewable energy has to be available everywhere, right? Our current system is essentially a computer - linked network of wires with outer ends in almost every house and business in the United States. We can - lowest cost option - build the new system on grid.

    3. OK, picking up from where we were. What I am trying to get here is real information to enable people to evaluate what they're being offered. No buzzwords, no "we could". We're doing it. Now: demand for power in this country is distributed over the whole continent.

If you read the attached thread, I attempt to evaluate renewable energy in terms of tons of carbon, units of manufacture, current "carbon allowance" (how many tons to 1.5°). There are many gaps in the available information, other numbers are agreed upon in climate science comm.
