Turns out there's an elevator you have to take downwards, not upwards. A weird interaction killed me whenever I tried doing that. A different angle of approach let me enter without dying (I learned from YouTube). But I'm pretty good a double-jumping-double-dashing for my age now.

Picked up Doom Eternal again after a 4 month hiatus. I was embarrassingly stuck on what I thought was this super simple jump-up-shoot-a-button-double-jump-double-dash-grab-wall puzzle that I worked on for ~3.5 hours but gave up thinking I'm too old and my reflexes have gone.

Huh, my ESTA permit to travel to the US expires this weekend (they last 2 years). Goodbye little buddy, I hardly knew you.

Met with a dev just getting started. He holds a BSc in nanoscale engineering, but wants to be in games. Gave him the usual games spiel; he's going to do it anyway. Who am I to judge, I made the same choice at his age and no regrets, so offered to mentor him instead ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

When I have external video calls, I clean up my desktop so I don't have random files lying around if I need to screen share. I put all the files in a folder that I think of as Desktop prime. It may have gotten a bit out of hand but it seems too late to fix it now.

We have the technology, I swear.

It’d be nice if the iPhone guessed the language of a text before reading it aloud. It’s hilarious the first few times, and I do love riddles, but it’s hard to parse what I’m supposed to bring home when I’m biking and having a text read out loud in Danish-in-English.
