Citalopram, Fluoxetine and Sertraline didn't work for me. In third week of Venlafaxine and, after the horrendous side-effects calmed down, I feel much more in control of my mood. Hopefully the benefits will continue!

Strange how things work for some and not others, I just posted about Venlafaxine, and I just want to sleep when I take it. But obviously I take it at night, but occasionally I forget and end up taking it about 2am and if I had to work I would be absolutely f***ed

I'm also on Fluoxetine. Depression is much better, but my anxiety is still influenced by my environment.

I have dysthymia. Citalopram made symptoms worse, so did fluoxetine. Now on a medium dose of venlafaxine the past 18 months. Keeps it under control and makes life more liveable.

Holly you mentioned the number of attempts and i've seen people say finely tuned regimen, for awareness there is a gene therapy test that actually determines what medications will work from knowing what is and isn't being processed. Takes the trial and error out
