I've been forced to use Gentium by some publishers, but never liked it. Call me old-fashioned, but Times Ext Roman is my font of choice for Roman script. I use Arial Unicode for Devanāgarī and experimenting with DFKAI-SB for Chinese (otherwise MingLiu).
Though a longtime fan of Sabon typeface, I switched to flexible Gentium Plus for ordinary print docs.pic.twitter.com/LYt0nMfbv8

If memory serves me, Times excels in italics. I have issues with how it displays on screen (in pdfs etc).

Does this mean you’re going to be publishing a book soon

If you are, please come to North America for a teaching/book tour! I can help set you up in Toronto.
