...it's an deep, inner decision to break with tribe. Very little outreach one can do to MAKE it happen in significant numbers....

also political allegiances are inherited. Most people vote how their parents voted.

Perhaps start with not labeling them as enemies? (ie 'defectors') but use reason and serious arguments?

this is far more important in swing states. I'm in Massachusetts where it wouldn't matter at all, so I voted 3rd part, no regrets
