    Well, well. Clarivate introducing an alternative to the Journal Impact Factor, normalizing across fields to create a compare-'em-all citation metric across journals (among other differences). (How did CiteScore get on, btw?)

    Dear journal: I was disappointed to learn your outdated stance on reviewing preprints. This forces authors to choose between early sharing of publicly funded work to advance science/scientific careers and your journal. I suspect many, like myself, will choose the former

    Is there a tactful way to let a clinically-oriented journal know that their decision to not review any articles previously posted to servers is archaic and horribly out of step?

    These extraordinary times and circumstances of call for extraordinary measures. The US supports the waiver of IP protections on COVID-19 vaccines to help end the pandemic and we’ll actively participate in negotiations to make that happen.
