Without social security the economy will certainly be negatively affected. How many Americans truly have enough left in paycheck to fully fund a retirement for themselves? Not many that I know.

The myth about Social Security is that it is an investment scheme and does not give same returns as the private sector. It is a Social Scheme and low income get more than their contribution and the rich get less.
