Bernie Sanders is a self-labeled Democratic Socialist and is not the FDR of our time. FDR tread a relatively moderate path as radical elements on both the left and the right sought to pull the U.S. toward their extreme. Sanders now stands at the vanguard of one of those extremes.

Also, I just love the argument that, unless direct state ownership is involved, it's not socialism - so more more more mandates, regs, rules, all that kind of control is A-OK. You're right, that's not socialism, technically - it's fascism.
