Many lawmakers believe the single thing that would bring a quick halt to the shutdown is a huge breakdown at the nation's airports.https://twitter.com/DHBerman/status/1081295582768123904 …

Shut it down. It’s absurd that people are required to work with no pay in sight.

Many lawmakers have no institutional memory of the PATCO strike - nor have any idea how detested the TSA is. Let the bastards strike. Trump can fire them and private security firms can take over.

I love when GOP/libertarian dipshits think privatizing something makes it free. If the feds contract airport security to private firms THE GOVERNMENT IS STILL HAS TO PAY THOSE FIRMS. In case you missed it, the government would be unable to pay them as it is currently shut down.

It has to be something that @realDonaldTrump can feel. He'll just jump on AF1 and go golfing. He literally can't imagine what it is like to live from paycheck to paycheck or to face deciding whether to pay rent or buy food. The people are hurting. Trump has to feel the pain.

If I could sentence him to anything at all for his myriad crimes, I’d sentence him to a life of extreme poverty where he has to drive for Uber just to be able to afford to sleep in his car. I honestly think that would be harder on him than prison. (Ok, maybe both. Consecutively.)
