Just remembered my singing lesson where my teacher made me COUNT for an exercise and my dyscalculia got so bad I went 1 2 3 7 5 9 and I’m still embarrassed thinking about it lmao It was last Thursday

All the extra lessons after school, 'you just have to try harder'.

Have you been tested btw? -
I haven’t officially been tested but I’ve had multiple professionals tell me I really should lmao. I don’t know how or where to do that and what the point is... Can anything be done?

it's so bad. when someone has a lot of trouble reading or writing, people are automatically careful cause they know they could be dyslexic. but dyscalculia never pops into their mind when someone is having trouble counting. that's how i feel like at least

I don’t think people think it’s a real thing? Like I’m a pretty smart person but numbers just fuck me up and people will just give you this FACE

I have this too!! It took me 6 attempts to pass my gcse maths. Despite being an a student in everything else. Also I can’t remember sequences and numbers - I get them mixed up and it’s caused loads of embarrassing moments. So you’re not alone

God, I used to be called sloppy, lazy, unable to pay attention, unfocused, and people used to shout at me "why can't you concentrate" as if I the fuck knew
