I didn't say who was doing the dehumanizing. That said, insisting on the term "bodies" does tend to plant that notion in people's minds.

Woke people, usually in the context of police interactions. You asked "is that sense not just people"? My only point, if there was one, is that "folx" and "bodies" are both used in different contexts, while "people" is used relatively rarely - or at least less conspicuously.
