Can't wait to see how many of the people who're concerned about SJW-inspired codes of conduct being adopted by open source projects have something to say about a major open source project adopting a specifically religious code of conduct that excludes non-believershttps://twitter.com/DarrenPMeyer/status/1054364170232258562 …

Right, and my point is that you’re falling for the obvious Poe here.
-
and my point is that sometimes really weird people write software. The whole _point_ of poe's law is that you can never really tell, and I haven't seen a single sign he's joking, just people who'd prefer him to be assuming he is
-
He lays out the joke right from the get go when he says “people have been asking me for a CoC which I guess is trendy so here’s a CoC” Claiming Poe’s law here is about as useful as wholeheartedly adopting a Hobbesian view of cause and effect.
-
I only wish I had access to your powers of mindreading. This could equally well be his sincere belief that he's putting out there because of requests for a CoC
-
It’s not mind reading, it’s simply the most likely possibility. It’s silly to look at two explanations of a thing, and, in the absence of evidence, pick the less plausible of the two
