How do you deal with giving sincere criticism about something you consider to be a basic necessity? Someone is doing something that needs to be done, that you’re not able to, and no matter how you put it, they get defensive.

Neat how he’s going to get so much more money to not continue working! When I lost my teaching job I asked if I would get my unused sick time disbursed and I was told they “didn’t want to set a precedent.”

Private and religious schools who accept state-funded tax vouchers do not have to accept disabled kiddos, those on 504s, or provide SpEd services. They don’t have to accept gay kids or kids with gay parents. They can discriminate while accepting your taxes. Vouchers are a scam.

When folks think of private schools paid for by tax vouchers, they envision lush lawns, plaid uniforms, and critical thinking in a bright and roomy classroom. What they often actually get is a windowless, cinder block room in a church basement. Careful what you wish for.
