They say capitalism drives innovation. Capital pays for innovation; _capitalism_ profiteers from it.

The first web component based solution is now live!! I *hate* tabs, but I really enjoyed writing this one up. Using progressive enhancement, it converts a headed group of articles into tabs, using the Shadow DOM and slotted content. Lovely stuff.

“[Anti-capitalism is] the principled, analytical insistence that what isn’t Capitalism exists if and when the dichotomy employer-employee is removed. It isn’t when workers have more income. It isn’t when workers have more power. It is when they are no longer ‘workers.’” (5/6)

“Does the market always rule in Capitalism? Of course not. Any of you [ever study] America during [WWII]? The [U.S. gov’t] suspended the market. ... And the [gov’t] of the [U.S.] distributed ration cards.... No market. So don’t tell me Capitalism requires markets...” (3/6)

The bit the capitalism stans don't get is that it's almost impossible to do this on your own. You either collaborate (socialism) or exploit (capitalism). You can't do shit without capital, and only a very few have enough of it by themselves.

Many defences of capitalism are really just unconscious calls for socialism. "In capitalism, anyone can get rich if they just [a, b, c]". When you drill down, the a, b, and c amount to "seize the means of production".

If your language or format contains no text that is being "marked up", it isn't a markup language, so maybe don't call it that.

“[‘Libertarian’] is a word that has been stolen. The people on the right who call themselves ‘Libertarians’ are proprietarians.” | Murray Bookchin on the real origins of the word “Libertarian.” Hint: The word was literally created by a (Libertarian) Socialist.

Just as Communism isn’t centralized economic planning under State Capitalism or authoritarianism, Democratic Socialism isn’t Social Democracy... We encourage comrades to emphasize the importance of real anti-capitalism (not just in the abstract), decentralization, and democracy.

"UX trends" doesn't mean anything. You are literally writing "user experience trends" there's no trends in user experience, there's experience, habits, mental models, expectations, etc. There's interface trends, patterns that become a trend, technologies, methods, tools maybe.
