    FYI, this is not a photo taken by NASA. It is a mock-up of data that shows 'hotspots' - mostly, fires, but sometimes other things like buildings, oil wells etc - turned into a 3D viz, with each spot given a 'glow' effect. It wasn't made with bad intentions, but *don't* share it

    London: Uber trips were taken with drivers who had faked their identity. Uber: Ok, let's use facial recognition for drivers. If we let them, tech platforms will always go the route, in order to preserve the holy trinity of efficiency, scale and hypergrowth.
