Watching a Minecraft tutorial on YouTube... the instructions are shown onscreen using annotations. I imagine this creator has probably used the same technique on lots of videos. In a matter of days YouTube will arbitrarily remove all captions and ruin all his hard work.

I would have thought the minimum would be some sort of archive mode which registers with the phone as not fully functioning but still plays on some platforms? Just to delete without saying anything is ruining a huge cache of knowledge and internet history.
