@HennsEggs Five brothers. We all got equal time on the computer and my dad made sure there was a how to use BASIC manual in the house.
@HennsEggs My father didn't teach me directly, but he let me write games using his computer, and provided me with blank floppies.
@HennsEggs There were other gender divisions in my world growing up, but none when it came to how I used the computer at home.

@HennsEggs As it is, I still attend IT conferences (like GDC Next) because IT and entertainment are intertwining in interesting ways. :-)
@HennsEggs If I were in college now, I think I'd be more interested, because there are so many different things that require programming.
