    We’re still not sure what’s going on with the app and phone lines for state reporting, but rest assured, that all of the Polk County results have been turned in and are secure. Our thousands of volunteers did absolutely amazing work tonight.

    Again, Iowa City 17 was the single largest precinct in the state in 2016 with 935 people. Local leaders were expecting and projecting there would be even more people here this year but apparently not. Again they’re saying 875 caucusgoers here tonight

    Here at Iowa City 17 folks are getting into the first alignment now. Caucusgoers are being directed to write down their candidates name on their preference cards now. Precinct leaders say there are 875 here, and viability threshold is 132.

    We’re getting into speeches from campaign reps at Iowa City 17. So far we’ve heard from reps for , , and . Bennet supporter says ‘it’s a little lonely back in the corner but it’s not too late to join us’, crowd laughs.

    Sounds like everybody has been signed in here at precinct 17 in Iowa City. More than an hour after the caucuses “officially started” this site is about to get into the heart of the matter: how many people are here.

    Here is *part of the line* to get into precinct 17 at City High in Iowa City. Hard to estimate but I would guess there are a couple hundred people in this line to get into the door of the auditorium, where the actual caucus is.

    Hello from Precinct 17 in Iowa City. This was the single largest caucus site in the state in 2016 with 935 people. It’s at City High School, as is another precinct, Iowa City 1. Volunteers have been working to direct the right people to the right rooms.
