I want to test the boundaries of the placebo effect, but just being conscious of it is enough to negate it.

The entire point of this was psyching myself into feeling the effects of a drug I haven't taken via the placebo effect.

@blackenedbone I think I would need to be familiar with the effects of a specific drug for it to really effect me though.
-
if I was to smoke some blue sugar I've convinced myself was meth without ever having smoked meth before would it effect me the same way?
-
Maybe extensive study of the drug could give the brain enough of a blueprint for a placebo to construct itself.
-
I'm sure drugs effects each person differently within a certain degree of difference. But a proper placebo calibration could duplicate it.
-
I probably just need to do more research on this subject and the limitations the placebo effect has.
