I've come to like it. But I don't like the utterly inconsistent way that journals use it.

I will never come to love it. It makes collaborative writing hard and I don't even like the way it looks. Granted equations come out nicely, but unless there's tonnes of those then it's just a major pain. I've persevered for decades on this. Sorry collaborators :-)

#Latex has its fair share of issues, for me it’s the only way to stay sane. Figures and references in Word or Google Docs drive me nuts. As already pointed out, Overleaf has nice features for collaborations and git integration. My philosophy is the lead decides. -
I get it! I still hate it. You use a lot more equations than me also. :-)
