Precisely, corporations and the wealthy have been lobbying against environmentally friendly infrastructure, so we must go-off grid to save the world? Despite the fact that's it's been proven actions taken by the middle-class are not effective relative to corporate action?

hear, hear.. I do wish there was an environmentally-friendly way to fly, though. This seems like one area in which we are deeply dependent on fossil fuels (vs. say, trains)

Obviously this would be ideal, but I think it's ridiculous that I'm being told to no longer travel, whilst the rich are flying down the street.

Articles like that are corporate- friendly (and perhaps funded). Corporate emissions are extreme and not criticized newrly as much as they should be. Shifting the blame on everyday people is a classic and effective technique
