We must always strive for a paper trail, but the pandemic proves a point I’ve been making a long time: We need to digitize our electoral infrastructure. We’ll survive this outbreak in no small measure because of online-enabled social distancing (e-mail, commerce, banking, etc.).

We cannot resign ourselves to an unimaginative and unexpansive view of democratization bc of the 2016 vulnerabilities (criminal hacking, bots, trolls). With innovative safeguards, e-balloting will be the future, one day. If bank accounts are protected online, so can our votes.

when the ticket is decided is when we all unify to vote trump out - it is not reasonable to diss the rights of others to their choices until it's time to convene and vote trump out in Nov.
