Another newbie mistake, i thought my player character wasn't firing TakeDamage events, but turns out my enemies where causing damage with value 0, so no damage, ergo no damage events. It makes a lot of sense but why the hell doesn't it say so in the docs...

Otherwise you will get a nice "unresolved external symbol" error, and you will spend a whole afternoon trying to figure out what is wrong and finding answers about how your own classes need to be exported, but nobody will tell you that not all modules are compiled by default.

#UE4, to use a class, you have to not just include the header file but also make sure that it is actually compiled, to do so you need to add the module it belongs to, to your .Build.cs file in Source folder.pic.twitter.com/0NTf03QYwn
