It should BE one of the main points in any police reform bill. The reallocation of funds from just law enforcement to other social services in communities that need them should be a leading plot in any police reform bill.
The only people singing the Defund Police like kill policing are MAGAts trying as they do every day propagandize the issue.
Senior Dems are corporate Dems and are very similar to Repubs.
I wish AOC, Ilan and the other progressives would learn that the most important thing is to beat Trump in November. And when they put out radical ideas it gives him campaign materials that he can use against all democrats even if it’s only a small minority of democrats that agree
Defund the police. Then try to call 911.
Defund does NOT mean disband...it means aggressive reform. Pumping parts of their huge budgets into social programs for communities.
Siri just told me that defund means to “Prevent from continuing to receive funds.” Call things what they are, not what Hannity and Limbaugh are hoping you’ll say. Our candidates have it hard enough w/o having to clean up clumsy and dangerous word choices.
Senior Dems know that even if defunding the police is the correct choice, it is electoral suicide. The general electorate would not support such a policy.
