Someone in my family pays more than $300 a month for their premium, and they aren’t covered till they’ve met their $8,000 deductible. Being forced to pay for something you can’t afford to use is not “health care coverage,” it is extortion. The ACA was transparent corporate theft.

I fall into this trap too, citing the popularity of Medicare for All etc. But even if it weren't popular, it would be the right thing to do. In 2016 58% of American's favored Medicare for All. Now it's 69%. Polls change when you make the case.

New York Times covering the abolitionist movement in 1859: "They are as rancorous and abusive as if they were on the point of utter annihilation. Their speeches sound more like the ravings of Bedlamites than the utterances of men seeking the accomplishment of a practical object."

No person in the United States of America should have out of pocket expenses for their healthcare.

Instead of "easing the burden," how about we *eliminate* it? Medicare for All means: 💯 Comprehensive coverage for all 🚫 No premiums/copays/deductibles 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 No medical bankruptcies or families having to chose between food and medicine Ask Congress for M4A. Fight for it. Sign it.

👇 from Nova Scotia A reminder that other countries have taxpayer-funded abortion, accessible to all as a basic human right, and it's NBD 🤷🏻‍♀️
