Even a massive army of price police could not possibly control prices of used cars, prices of oil and other globally-traded commodities, prices of new drugs or other goods for which no base price exist, prices of gig economy skills, prices on eBay, etc. It's a quixotic fantasy.

I left Venezuela because of the disaster caused by policies such as price controls. I don't want Venezuela to follow me into America.
