@derekmhopper ...now in the "wrong" environment, i.e. the new social environment is filled with not-so-universalistic peoples... @edwest
@Outsideness well, i fear not, 'cause i think all the universalists will hear is you screaming at them that their behavior is lit. sick.

@Outsideness as i've said to others, how does it make YOU feel when you're called names? are you MORE ready to listen to what's being said? -
@hbdchick If it is just language politics, it's even easier to disagree than I'd thought. -
@Outsideness it's not just that. it's the two things. 1) it's simply incorrect, and therefore misleading. and 2) the lang politics thing. -
@Outsideness and wrt the first point, with misunderstanding will follow an inability to rectify the problem.

@hbdchick Don't you have to decide whether you're doing scientific terminological rigor, or politics? Not sure which argument we're having. -
@Outsideness i think most people (of avg iq+) understand "pathological" as something bad and related to sickness or disease. -
@Outsideness you keep telling people there's something wrong, even sick, with their behavior...which they *feel* is so right... -
@Outsideness ...and you're not going to get a positive response, i don't think. it's like pro-choice vs. anti-abortion, etc.
